NOOOOOOOOOO! New Kelly Rowland album pushed back to 2011

Despite buzz-worthy songs like “Commander”, “Rose Colored Glasses”, and “Grown Woman”, Kelly Rowland has confirmed that her fans will not see a new album from her until 2011! During Fashion week in NY, Kelly told Paper magazine:

RiRi's new single 'Only Girl (In The World)' is set to impact radio airwaves on September 14th, along with Will.i.am and Nicki Minaj’s “Check it Out,” JLS’s “Ay Mama” featuring Shontelle, and Kevin Rudolf’s “You Make the Rain Fall” featuring Flo Rida.

Jordin Sparks' tour BOMBS.

Sorry AGAIN guys!!! Anyways, beginning in early May, Sparks embarked on “ The Battlefield Tour” — a small, three month tour playing in theaters, ballrooms, casinos and amusement parks across the US. Nine out of the total 39 shows have had their boxscore reported by Idol Stages, revealing that the majority of those shows had Jordin playing to half- empty venues. Her biggest success was at the Nokia Theater in New York, to which she played to a crowd capacity of 83%, but many of the other shows fell below 50%, with her worst being a gig at the Crystal Ballroom in Portland in which she played to a shocking 10% capacity.

FLOP. It's so sad that TALENTED singers are the one that is flopping right now, while at the top, autotuned prince and princesses are present. :(

Faith Evans Arrested!

R&B singer Faith Evans was arrested late Saturday after she was stopped at a drunken driving checkpoint near Marina del Rey, according to police. The Grammy Award-winning songstress was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor drunken driving at 10:40 p.m. at a checkpoint at Washington and Lincoln boulevards, according to Officer Cleon Joseph of the Los Angeles Police Department.

Well, it's not her first arrest. In 2004, Evans and her current husband, record company executive Todd Russaw, were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and cocaine after a traffic stop near Atlanta and spent 13 weeks in rehab.

POOR GIRL. :(

Mariah to be an American Idol judge?

Mooriah uh uhm. I mean Mariah Carey is reportedly still on the list of possible judges for the new season of American Idol. Here is the latest report from E! News:

Ken Baker of E! News says: “Mariah is definitely in the mix. I’m told that she’s wanted to be a part of the show for a very long time. Of course she has been as a guest but she really does want to be a judge and I’m told by a very good source that they are in final negotiations with her so we could find out within the next few weeks whether she’s going to join that panel”.

Good news for her! Hope she'll truly be the next judge. Idol makes me excited now. :)

Lady GaGa: Space-Age Queen

Lady Gaga has just surpassed Britney Spears as the most followed person on Twitter. At the time of this post, Lady Gaga has 5,674,003 followers while Britney Spears has 5,670,352.

Spears stole the 'most-followed on Twitter' title from Ashton Kutcher just three months ago. The comedic actor currently has 5,555,180 followers. Gaga's popularity on Twitter should not come as a shock. Gaga, 24, is the most popular online entity in the world. The Bad Romance singer has over 16 million Facebook fans and nearly 350,000 Youtube subscribers -- even President Barack Obama's popularity on the Internet comes in second place to Gaga's!

I'm Back!!!

Guys! I'm really really sorry for not updating my blog for 12 freakin' days! I'm busy as hell coz' of tons of assignments, projects and presentations in school!

I treat this day as my 'comeback day'! I've been collecting some ideas on how to make my blog really nice to your eyes! I'm going to change few things my blog:

1. I'm not going to post my weekly list anymore. Instead, I'm going to turn the tables around and let YOU decide on what songs should I listen for the following week by giving you guys a poll.

2. Since August became a slow month, it's bias for our current Artist of the Month Christina Aguilera, I decided to prolong her throne until the 10th of September but still, the poll for September's Artist of the Month is going to close at August 31 and will be proclaimed by September 10.

3. And whoever is interested to be my next PARTNER in this blog, you are warmely welcomed by me.

Charice is ready to release a new single!

Newly-botoxed 18 year old Filipina pop singer/glee actress Charice is set to release a follow-up on her U.S. minor hit and Asia Uber hit 'Pyramid' but don't expect it to be on her self-titled U.S. debut album, since she called it a 'New' Lady GaGa inspired dance song to be able to compete with what's hot on U.S. charts right now.

I don't know if it's a new single for a new album. I do think it's a new single from a re-release album, or just a single to coincide with her 'Glee' stint. Pretty excited for that song!

WooHoo! The Black Eyed Peas set to release new album by late 2010!

After this ultra popular album 'The E.N.D.', The Black Eyed Peas said they're ready to release their next album 'The Beginning' by the end of the year on GMA earlier.

The rest of 2010 keeps getting better and better!

Xtina and others helped Sony BMG to increase sales!

According to Sony Music, there has been a sales increase of 1.3% in the first quarter of the year. So far this year has been registering an increase of 3.8%. Releases from Usher, Christina Aguilera and the Glee Cast have largely contributed to the increase.

Sony’s statement says: “The increase reflects the strong sales of a number of key releases which more than offset the continued contraction of the physical music market. Best-selling titles during the current quarter included AC/DC’s soundtrack to Iron Man 2, music from the hit U.S. television show Glee, Kana Nishino’s 'To LOVE', Usher’s 'Raymond v Raymond' and Christina Aguilera’s 'Bionic'”.

Christina’s ‘Bionic’ has sold approximately 500,000 copies worldwide, more than two months after its release. It is estimated that the project could reach over one million copies at the end of the year with the holiday season and the release of her film ‘Burlesque’.

Yay! Nobody thought that this album will see the light of success! Go Aguilera!

Taylor Swift unveiled 'Mine' cover!

Country pop singer Taylor Swift is ready to walk to the charts again with her lead single 'Mine', but before we could hear the song, she gives us this single cover. Uhm, cute, she looks 17.

The song won't be sent to radio until early August, but station KILT have already had the first listen, and posted a review of the track up on their website.

“Mine” is an uptempo song that’s unmistakably Taylor. It’s a boy/girl song, sort of like “Love Story,” but a much more realistic look at a relationship. It shows Taylor’s growth and maturity over the 2 years since she released Fearless, but still maintains Taylor’s ability to tell a story with an instantly memorable hook. In the song, Taylor is a girl who always avoided love and then finds herself in a great relationship.

Here’s a line from the chorus: “You made a rebel of a careless man’s careful daughter / You are the best thing that’s ever been mine” “Mine” has a big chorus, and is very singable – like all great Taylor Swift songs.

Well, I'm no fan of Taylor, but she seems to be a really really sweet girl that's why people love her. Her upcoming album 'Speak Now' is out on October 25th, Billboard made a prediction that this album is expected to sell 750,000-1,000,000+ on it's first week...WOAH.

J.Lo set to replace Ellen DeGeneres on 'American Idol'!

After Ellen herself announced that she'll be leaving the very popular U.S. TV show 'American Idol'. One name stood out that will replace DeGenerous...JENNIFER LOPEZ!

Though not officially confirmed yet, People, Deadline and Gossip Cop are all claiming to have the ‘exclusive’ on J.Lo is the new Idol judge. According to their reports, Jenny’s manager Benny Medina has been orchestrating the deal for over a month, and was waiting for Ellen to announce her departure before revealing the news.

I don't know what to feel, this just made me not to watch the show. Yes, I like Jenny but, after Cowell left, I find the next season boring. And I believe 'X-Factor' is going to be more fun! A.I. needs to prove me wrong.

That Katy Perry reign just won't let up!

While 'California Gurls' is still kickin' your faves butts, her 2nd single 'Teenage Dream' (which I forgot to rate, 3.5/5) is breaking radio records, it has been added to 87 radio stations over the course of a week – the highest number of adds for a song ever. It has since been added to 101 stations, and just debuted at #38 on the Mediabase top forty airplay chart. It has already shifted 84,000 copies in it’s first week, and is currently still at #3 on the iTunes chart.

WOAH, It's really shocking how she became really popular. I hope she keeps the momentum and bag her first #1 album in the U.S.

Nicole Scherzinger's stint on X-Factor will be shortened because Cheryl Cole's BACK!

As of late, Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger became a standing for poorly Cheryl Cole who contracted the potentially fatal disease malaria last month. However, it has been reported that the 27- year-old X Factor judge, is set to return to work for the first time next Friday, with an interview for ITV2 spin-off show The Xtra Factor.

After Leona Lewis released her 2nd album 'Echo' and flopped miserably everywhere (except maybe in U.K.) and released the MOST BORING singles ever, she's ready to re-release it again in time for Christmas season.

WHAT?!!

Well, I'm no hater but she should've released a new album instead. I doubt that It'll be a bestseller because there are many larger acts to release albums (Susan Boyle, Mariah Carey, Britney Spears and maybe Rihanna.)
